A possible post medieval chalk pit is visible as a ditched earthwork to the west of The Launch, Woolland, on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; EA 2018) . The feature was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
