Full Description
An area of possible post medieval extraction is visible as shallow ditched earthworks and disturbed ground on Bulbarrow Hill, Stoke Wake, on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; EA 2018). The features are off the adjacent clay with flints geology and might be chalk pits and areas of shallow chalk extraction of post medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
