Full Description
Fragments of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery under trees within Cliff Wood, Winterborne Whitechurch. The boundaries are considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman origin and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. The system covers an area of over 11ha and continues into the field immediately to the south. It is part of a wider prehistoric field system that continues to the north in MDO50371 and MDO50403.
