Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as a shallow ditched earthwork on the southeast side of Woolland Hill, Woolland, on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; EA 2018). The feature is recorded as an old flint pit on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map (OS c1880) and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
