Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an irregular shallow ditched earthwork within Delcombe Wood, Milton Abbas, on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature is on clay with flints geology and several flint pits and chalk pits are recorded in the area. The feature is also considered likely to be either a flint or chalk pit of post medieval origin and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
