Full Description
A loose spread of several post medieval extractive pits are visible as shallow ditched earthworks within Delcombe Wood, Milton Abbas, on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features are on clay with flints geology and several flint pits and chalk pits are recorded in the area. The features are also considered likely to be either flint or chalk pits of post medieval origin and were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
