Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as a shallow ditched earthwork to the southeast of Ibberton on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The feature is just off the clay with flints geology and is probably a post medieval chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
