Full Description
Two post medieval extractive pits are visible as shallow ditched earthworks on the west side of Aplin's Heath Hill, Ibberton, on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features are just off the clay with flints geology and could be post medieval chalk pits. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
