Earthworks associated with the deserted village of Middleton are visible on lidar imagery to the northwest of the current village of Milton Abbas.The settlement was demolished during the construction of the landscaped park described in MDO4510. The village earthworks cover an area of over 2 ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
