A probable post medieval chalk pit is visible as a scarped earthwork in a field to the northeast of Ibberton on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature is shown as an earthwork but not named on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map (OS c1880). It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
