Full Description

'B' ST 92660551. A mound orientated NW to SE is 17.0m long and 6.0m wide, being 1.0m high on the S and 0.5m high on the N. Now moss and bush covered. If it was ever a barrow, which seems unlikely, it has been severly damaged. <1>

'B' ST 92660552. Bowl barrow 20 ft in diameter and 2 ft high. <3>

These barrows 'A' and 'B' and mound 'C' are now described as having been destroyed by ploughing. <5>

The barrow is visible as a cropmark on an aerial photograph dated 1982 and as an earthwork on current lidar imagery <6-7>. The feature is approximately 7m in diameter, with rather an uneven profile and poor edge definition. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
