Full Description
'A' ST 92640551. A bowl barrow 17.0m in diameter and 1.8m high, with unsurveyable traces of a surrounding ditch. Grass covered and flat on top, it appears to have been excavated. <1>
'A' ST 92650551. Bowl barrow, 30 ft in diameter and 3 ft high. <3>
These barrows 'A' and 'B' and mound 'C' are now described as having been destroyed by ploughing. <5>
The barrow is visible as a cropmark on an aerial photograph dated 1982 and as an earthwork on current lidar imagery <6-7>. The feature is just over 10m in diameter, to include a possible ditch approximately 0.65m wide <3>. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
