An 'Old Flint Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st editon map to the north of Cayles Down Copse, Milton Abbas. The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project, a second pit is visible to the southeast.
