An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st editon map to the north of Hewish Farm, Milton Abbas.The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. Two smaller pits are visble in fields to the north.
