Summary

Four small subcircular mounds are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the vicinity of the summerhouse on Melmoth's Hill, Milton Abbas. They are of uncertain purpose and may relate to the post medieval landscaped park. A possible pond is marked on the hill on the OS 1st edition map. The features were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Four small subcircular mounds are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the vicinity of the summerhouse on Melmoth's Hill, Milton Abbas. They are of uncertain purpose and may relate to the post medieval landscaped park. A possible pond is marked on the hill on the OS 1st edition map. The features were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
