Full Description
Two short stretches of curvilinear ditch are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2022 to the northwest of Rose Hill Lodge, Streetway Lane Cheselbourne. They possibly form the northern and southern sides of a prehistoric ring ditch 13m across. The features are situated 60m to the southwest of the given grid reference for MDO43398 (Rough Barrow on Cheslbourne Downs) and may be associated with that record. The potentially the site of a Bronze Age round barrow was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (HEA 2022)
