Summary

An unanotated group of hollows are marked on the OS 1st edition map immediately to the northeast of Nettlecombe Farm. They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits. The largest of the group is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

An unanotated group of hollows are marked on the OS 1st edition map immediately to the northeast of Nettlecombe Farm. They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits. The largest of the group is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery (EA 2023) and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
