An area of probable post medieval extraction is visible as irregular shallow hollowed earthworks to the south of Hole Plantation, Turnworth, on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features are not clearly defined but could possibly be chalk or gravel pits. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
