Full Description
An extensive later prehistoric field system on Shillingstone Hill is visible as banked earthworks and soilmarks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; RAF 1947; EA 2018). Parts of the field system fall within areas covered by HER records MDO4684 and MDO43570. Within the field system are potential trackways and field boundaries that might be later in date. The features were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
