Full Description
Two areas of contour aligned ridged cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on Coombe Down, Ibberton, on 1940s aerial photographs (RAF 1947). The features coincide with an area of medieval strip lynchets (MDO4003) and might be ridge and furrow cultivation of contemporary or later date.
The features are no longer visible on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
