Parallel linear features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 on the valley bottom to the east of Highdon, Melcombe Horsey. They are considered likely to be the remains of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation ridges and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Parallel linear features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken by the RAF in 1947 on the valley bottom to the east of Highdon, Melcombe Horsey. They are considered likely to be the remains of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation ridges and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
