Summary
A small oval mound is visible as a banked earthwork on Ringmoor, Turnworth, on aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is of uncertain origin but is part of a concentration of similar mounds that might be later prehistoric clearance mounds, or alternatively a small Bronze Age barrow mound. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description
A small oval mound is visible as a banked earthwork on Ringmoor, Turnworth, on aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (NMR 1994; EA 2018). The feature is of uncertain origin but is part of a concentration of similar mounds that might be later prehistoric clearance mounds, or alternatively a small Bronze Age barrow mound. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
