Full Description
A sub-circular ditched feature is visible as an earthwork within Lines Dean Bottom, Turnworth, on 1940s aerial photographs and as a larger oval ditched earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The feature is shown as a sub-squarish ditched feature on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map of c 1880 and might be a post medieval extractive pit or pond (OS c1880). It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
