Summary

A post medieval extractive pit is visible as a ditched earthwork within Lines Dean Bottom, Turnworth, on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is close to an area of old gravel pits to the northwest (MDO49981) and could also be a small gravel pit, or alternatively, a chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

A post medieval extractive pit is visible as a ditched earthwork within Lines Dean Bottom, Turnworth, on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature is close to an area of old gravel pits to the northwest (MDO49981) and could also be a small gravel pit, or alternatively, a chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
