Summary
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as a ditched earthwork to the south of Riny Moor, Turnworth, on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is close to an old gravel pit to the northwest (MDO49978) and could also be a small gravel pit, or alternatively, a chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

A post medieval extractive pit is visible as a ditched earthwork to the south of Riny Moor, Turnworth, on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature is close to an old gravel pit to the northwest (MDO49978) and could also be a small gravel pit, or alternatively, a chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
