Full Description
Parallel linear features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in fields to the south and west of Higher Ansty, Hilton. They are overlain by the post medieval drainage system described in MDO49974 and are considered to be the remains of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation ridges and strip fields. The features were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (RAF 1947, EA 2023).
