Full Description
A large loose cluster of probable post medieval chalk pits are visible as ditched earthworks on the slopes of Ewern Down and within Turnworth Wood, Turnworth, on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
