Full Description
A post medieval chalk pit is visible as a ditched earthwork to the northwest of Turnworth Clump on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; 1947; EA 2018). The feature is shown as an old chalk pit on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map (OS c1880). It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
