A post medieval chalk pit is visible as a ditched earthwork to the northwest of Turnworth Clump on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is shown as an old chalk pit on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
