An Old Chalk Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the southwest of Bramblecombe Lane, Cheselbourne (OS 1885). It is one of a pair of small hollows visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (EA 2023).
