Three small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery scattered across fields to the north of Combe Bottom, Hilton. They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.(EA 2023).
