Several large hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on the steep west-facing slope to the south of Combe Farm, Hilton. They are considered likely to be the result of post medieval extraction (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

They are considered likely to be the result of post medieval extraction (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (EA 2023).
