Summary
A group of hollows is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in two modern field to the northwest of Cuckoo Lane, Hilton. They are part of a wider area of general disturbance which is considered likely to be associated with post medieval extraction (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

A group of hollows is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in two modern field to the northwest of Cuckoo Lane, Hilton. They are part of a wider area of general disturbance which is considered likely to be associated with post medieval extraction (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
