Full Description
An Old Chalk Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of Fern Wood, Hilton, (OS 1885). It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery (Environment Agency 2021) and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. Two smaller hollows were also recorded in the vicinity.
