Full Description
Three small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery scattered across the east facing slope of Henning Hill, Melcombe Horsey, close to the parish boundary with Hilton. They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (EA 2023).
