A group of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery cutting into the field banks of the prehistoric field system described in MDO49865. They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.(EA 2023).
