An Old Chalk Pit and an Old Flint Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the east of Long Close Farm, Milton Abbas (OS 1885). They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.(EA 2023).
