A group of Old Chalk Pits and an Old Flint Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the south west of Hilton Hill Buildings, Hilton (OS 1885). They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (EA 2023).
