Full Description
Several chalk pits are marked on the OS 1st edition map to the east and north of Newton Farm, Hilton (OS 1885). They are part of a group of extractive pits visible as as earthworks on lidar imagery in the vicinity of the farm, and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.(EA 2023).
