A series of Clay Pits is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of Ansty Brewery, Lower Ansty, Hilton. The pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and lidar imagery, and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

A series of Clay Pits is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of Ansty Brewery, Lower Ansty, Hilton (OS 1885). The pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and lidar imagery, they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (RAF 1947, EA 2023)
