An area of possible extraction is visible on the Stepleton-Hanford spur as very shallow earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is of uncertain origin, possibly gravel or flint extraction of anywhere between later prehistoric and post medieval date, or perhaps geological variation. The feature was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

An area of possible extraction is visible on the Stepleton-Hanford spur as very shallow earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature is of uncertain origin, possibly gravel or flint extraction of anywhere between later prehistoric and post medieval date, or perhaps geological variation. The feature was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
