Summary

A ditched and banked linear feature descending eastwards from Hambledon Hill towards Iwerne Courtney or Shroton is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature cuts Neolithic cross dyke MDO47593 and is probably a trackway of later prehistoric but more likely post medieval date. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

A ditched and banked linear feature descending eastwards from Hambledon Hill towards Iwerne Courtney or Shroton is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature cuts Neolithic cross dyke MDO47593 and is probably a trackway of later prehistoric but more likely post medieval date. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
