Summary

Linear banked features to the south and east of Hod Hill, Stourpaine, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features run counter to contour aligned lynchets of probable medieval date (MDO4804) and could be field boundaries of later prehistoric date, although a later origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Linear banked features to the south and east of Hod Hill, Stourpaine, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features run counter to contour aligned lynchets of probable medieval date (MDO4804) and could be field boundaries of later prehistoric date, although a later origin is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
