Full Description
A rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995 on the south facing slopes of Lyscombe Hill above Thorncombe Eweleaze. The enclosure is sub-square, 42m by 41m across and associated with a number of ditched field boundaries representing fragments of a contempory field system. The features are considered likely to be of Iron age or Roman date and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (NMR 1995)
