Summary

Several banked curvilinear features are visible as closely spaced and near parallel earthworks to the east of Okeford Fitzpaine on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features might be field boundaries of medieval date, possibly part of a former medieval strip field, which might include the remains of ridge and furrow cultivation. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

Several banked curvilinear features are visible as closely spaced and near parallel earthworks to the east of Okeford Fitzpaine on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features might be field boundaries of medieval date, possibly part of a former medieval strip field, which might include the remains of ridge and furrow cultivation. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
