Full Description
Two linear features are visible as ditched and banked earthworks to the east of Shillingstone on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features might be field boundaries and/or a drainage ditch of medieval to possibly post medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
The ditched linear is now under modern housing. The banked linear is still visible on current lidar imagery.
