Full Description
Three field boundaries of medieval to possibly post medieval date are visible as ditched linear earthworks to the east of Shillingstone on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features infill narrow historic plots that potentially derive from former medieval strip fields. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
