Monument record MDO49755 - Possible medieval cultivation, Shillingstone

Several curvilinear banked features are visible as closely set earthworks on a spur of Shillingstone Hill on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features might be field boundaries or the remnants of ridge and furrow cultivation of possible medieval origin. The features appear to underlie a post medieval drainage system at this location (MDO49632). They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
