Full Description
A bank and ditched enclosure is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within Bottom Copse, Cheselbourne. The bank is internal to the ditch suggesting a defensive structure to keep things out rather than a stock enclosure (see also MDO49704 and MDO49640 for similarly constructed enclosures). It is likely to be a medieval or post medieval woodland boundary and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (Environment Agency 2021)
