Two small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on Bowdens Hill, Melcombe Horsey, in the vicinity of the mounds described in MDO49583/1699. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project and are considered likely to be the site of a post medieval chalk pits.

Two small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on Bowdens Hill, Melcombe Horsey, in the vicinity of the mounds described in MDO49583/1699.
