Summary

Several possible medieval field boundaries are visible as banked and ditched linear earthworks to the southwest of Hambledon Hill, straddling Child Okeford and Hanford parishes, on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval origin, possibly fossilising former strip fields. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Several possible medieval field boundaries are visible as banked and ditched linear earthworks to the southwest of Hambledon Hill, straddling Child Okeford and Hanford parishes, on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval origin, possibly fossilising former strip fields. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
